2015 JAGUAR F-TYPE V6 – HOW IT GOT BETTER!

Back in June, I got the opportunity to test the Jaguar F-type V6s Convertible and I titled the review as “The unforgettable drive” simply because it was an incredible machine that was perfectly balanced, sounded brilliant, drove like a dream and looked stunning.

In my mind, the only car that could beat the F-Type Convertible in its segment would either be the Porsche Cayman GTS or the F-Type itself, but not just any F-Type, the Coupe.

Huge thanks to Jaguar & Weber Shandwick for this amazing weekend ride.

2015 Hyundai Centennial – The Koreans are learning luxury

Every once in a while, car brands take on new challenges such as when Lamborghini announced that they’re making an SUV, Porsche making a 4-door sedan, or Nissan creating a supercar and the results have always been varied.

Hyundai took on a new challenge a few years ago by trying to enter the luxury car market to take on the S-Class, 7-Series and A8, and when I got the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Hyundai Centennial, I was very intrigued!

A special thanks to Hyundai UAE for my luxurious weekend ride.

2015 Nissan Juke – Angry-Bird on wheels!

If there was one thing Nissan could have done to make this this review as wacky as possible, it would have been to deliver the Nissan Juke in the most odd color ever.. Which is exactly what happened, an incredibly yellow Nissan Juke.

When I was first offered the Nissan Juke for review, I wasn’t sure whether it was going to be a good review or not. I certainly had my concerns with the look, but that is subjective. I did a little research and as it turns out, the Juke is a very interesting car! Sorry, SUV!

Special thanks to Nissan Middle East for the wacky weekend ride.

2015 Jaguar F-Type V6s – The Unforgettable Drive

There are cars that give good driving experiences, bad driving experiences and then there is the Jaguar F-Type, which leaves your jaw dropped for as long as you can hold the throttle.. then the exhaust burbles, and your mind is blown.

I was presented with the V6 Coupe or the V6s Convertible, and although the temperature is north of 40 degrees Celsius right now, I just knew the convertible was not to be missed. The F-Type has been around since 2013, but people here still look at it like its a rare super-car, a definite compliment for a city filled with them.

2015 Nissan X-Trail – An unexpected comeback

The Nissan X-Trail was first introduced in the early 2000’s and was certainly not a car favored by the general masses; it looked unappealing, the interior was not a nice place to be and its abilities were questionable (especially with front wheel drive). The only thing it had in it’s favor was the price, it was reasonably cheap.

With time, especially in the UAE, the X-Trail became famous for being used as road-side speed camera vehicles but all that is about to change, entirely! Say a big hello to the all new Nissan X-Trail, and boy is there a lot to talk about.

2014 Jaguar XFRS – A man’s best friend

I have had the pleasure of driving the XFRS for about a week, nearly 3 weeks ago. The reason I started writing this review now is because I did not want to write it emotionally, which alone, says a lot about the Jaguar XFRS.

The first day or two people would ask me, “Jaguars come like that now?” and I was considering having that as the theme for this review, but after a week with the car, there is a lot more to this car than that. Thus, the new theme is “A man’s best friend” which I believe really is what makes this Jaguar special.

Huge thanks to Jaguar & Weber Shandwick for this amazing opportunity.

2014 Porsche Panamera GTS – Review

Let me start this review off by saying I was not a fan of the Porsche Panamera. A lot of journalists have also kept arguing that it is not a looker and I shared that opinion, but lets be honest here, its only the rear end of the car that had a bit of an issue (This face-lifted model addressed just that) and this was my opportunity to spend some time with the car and answer a question for myself, was the Panamera worth buying?

Special Thanks to Porsche Centre Dubai for letting me borrow their GTS!

2014 Chevrolet Impala – Test Drive

I have liked Chevrolet’s Lumina and Caprice, and ever since they removed the Lumina from the line up, there was a sense of something missing in the line up. The Impala isn’t directly a replacement as there shall be a newer Lumina but it did confuse me a little bit. Essentially as far as I could tell the Impala was placed under the Lumina but the new one seems to have changed. A lot!

2014 Nissan Pathfinder – Full Review

I owned a Second Generation Nissan Pathfinder (last face-lifted model of 2005) and have had it for several years. It was a very good car without a doubt, even cops around here used them. It was good off road, had decent performance on and off road (with manual off road gearbox range selection) while being comfortable, practical and with a decent ride height and driving position. The third generation changed nearly entirely, it had a little less off-road abilities, gained weight and got more practical. I heard there was a new Pathfinder and the moment I saw one I was utterly surprised! I just had to get one for review, so I got in touch with Nissan in Dubai, and they were happy to lend me one for a few days.
